Hamptons Summer Home

Set in the heart of the Hamptons, this new construction family retreat was designed from the earliest architectural stages to become a place of connection, slow living, and summer ease. Our return clients, a nightlife executive and a wellness and social media creator, wanted a home that felt calm and camera ready, a retreat where extended family could gather and where their children could grow up with room to roam. With soaring floor-to-ceiling windows and abundant natural light, the house offered a contemporary canvas that we shaped into an organic modern sanctuary inspired by the surrounding dunes and sea grasses.

The interior palette is quiet and elemental, built on warm tans, creams, and soft neutrals with subtle notes of black, brown, and gray. A vintage travertine table in the double height foyer became an early touchstone for the entire home, paired with a custom antique mirror that lifts the space and sets the tone for what follows. In the great room, a low-slung Tufty Time sectional gathers around a custom travertine coffee table flecked with shell, grounding the space in natural texture. The limestone fireplace, conceived while sourcing stone for the kitchen, anchors the room with sculptural warmth and is framed by custom millwork that displays the family’s collections. The kitchen is bright and functional, with a quartzite waterfall island, vertical reed detailing, and an easy flow to the casual dining area where the family cooks, gathers, and works on projects together.
Throughout the home, moments of personality reveal themselves quietly. The main level den opens to the backyard and features a commissioned Roy Nachum piece above the sofa. Upstairs, the primary suite has its own private deck overlooking the pool and tennis court, with an ensuite bath that includes a custom stone vanity, a large soaking tub, and a sunlit shower. Children’s rooms and guest suites have their own decor styles and ensuites, including a dedicated room tailored for a frequent West Coast guest. The lower level houses a gym, playroom, and a recording studio for summer content creation. Outside, the pool house was designed around a beloved Vhils artwork salvaged from one of the client’s restaurants, its carved plaster and brick installation now overlooking the pool through large sliding doors. Mature trees were relocated to frame the landscape with a sense of permanence. Airy, bright, and clean, the Hamptons Summer Home is a place designed for gathering, grounding, and celebrating the long days of summer.
